The Executive Vice President of Chemistry for Clear Scientific, Xinhua Li, Ph.D., presented at the Trans-Agency Scientific Meeting on Developing Medical Countermeasures to Rescue Opioid-Induced Respiratory Depression at the NIAID Conference Center in Rockville, MD. The event was sponsored by the Chemical Countermeasures Research Program, which integrates cutting edge research with the latest technological advances in science and medicine to enhance the nation’s medical response capabilities during public health emergencies. These emergencies involve the accidental or deliberate release of DHS-identified chemical threat agents, including synthetic opioids. The meeting included academic, industry and government researchers engaged in developing medical countermeasures (MCMs) and therapeutic approaches against chemical threats. Government stakeholders and funding Agencies including HHS, DoD, and DHS were also in attendance. Dr. Li’s talk centered around Broad-Spectrum Medical Countermeasures Against Pharmaceutical-Based Agents.
