Senior Scientist – Drug Development (Analytical, Formulation, and/or Synthesis)

We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Scientist to support our growing product pipeline. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with experience in synthetic, formulation, and/or analytical chemistry. The current position is open to chemists or biochemists with a masters or doctorate with at least 5-10 years of laboratory experience relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, passionate, and creative to join our team.


About the Position:

  • The qualified candidate will take an active role in supporting drug development consistent with our mission by applying a variety of techniques needed in small molecule-based drug development working closely with our team and academic partners.

  • If applying as an analytical chemist:

    • Deep knowledge of analytical methods (e.g., HPLC-MS, IR, GC-MS, NMR, ITC etc.) used to characterize pharmaceutical substances and products and hands-on experience in GC-MS, LC-MS, and LC-MS-MS method development is highly desired.

    • Analytical method development and validation; stability testing; testing to support pharmaceutical development efforts and evaluation of new instrumentation or analytical techniques.

  • If applying as a synthetic chemist:

    • Strong background in synthesis, characterization, and purification of small molecule compounds.

    • Interest in solving challenging synthetic problems by application of fundamental knowledge of organic chemistry

    • Deep understanding and intuitive knowledge of relationship between chemical structure and physical and chemical properties.

  • Direct interaction with project team members and contract research organizations, including presentation of data; critical review of data; and preparation of technical reports.

  • The candidate must be able to interact effectively with peers, external partners, leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment.

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and effective interpersonal and oral and written communication skills are required.



  • The position requires a M.S. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry with 5-10 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Significant hands-on experience in analytical method development and validation under cGMP environment, pharmaceutical product development, CMC regulatory requirements, project management

  • Experience in problem-solving skills and instrument troubleshooting.

  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to write and review technical reports are desired.
